"Born This Way" means well, and I do appreciate that a lot of the LGBT youth took it as a sort of anthem. I have talked to teens who have worked in theatre with me who were very empowered by the song.

The more I've listened to this album (going on 100 times at least) the more it's grown on me. When I first heard it I thought no way is this the pop album of the decade - but to be honest, it blows a lot of pop artists into the weeds. It has a purpose, it's empowering and reaches fans on a personal level. It was meant to be the ultimate mainstream pop record.

I can't wait for her new material! I know a lot of people say they don't like her, but I think it's just one of those things people to say to try look like they have better taste in music when it doesn't indicate that at all.
