God, I just spent the last 3 hours marriage counseling my own parents. It worked though... I got my mom to admit why she doesn't trust my dad, and I got him to admit some pretty fucked up shit.
Fortunately, they're both religious, so I was able to use jesus as a tool to employ some crafty reconciliation. They're both currently working on their flaws together while driving to the liquor store.
