Not like Figure 8 is.
XO is way more personal and you can hear traces of his older work in the music. I dunno, i just don't get the same feeling from Figure 8 like I do with the rest of his music.

He didn't have anything to do with From a Basement on the Hill other than the songs themselves, some of which he didn't even finish mixing. Figure 8 was technically his last release, Basement and New Moon are just compilations.

if you want to get into technicalities then, yes, i suppose Figure 8 was his last finshed album. But it still showed his music was changing from the direction it orginally started in and it was the last thing he was working on before he died.

Yes, but he was heading in a more musically diverse direction it went from him playing guitar with may be some drums to a full backing band.

He never had a backing band he did it all himself and he'd been doing full band tracks since Roman Candle.

He did use studio musicains on some albums and live he did have a band for songs .
