Lightbulb FESTIVAL section anybody?

as most of us tend to enjoy music, a common trend exist among music enjoying lackeys like ourselves. many of us enjoy strapping on a backpack with the bare essentials, fedex-ing our drugs to a hotel, flying our to a city we have never been, renting a car with people we dont know, and camping for 3 days at a festival with people like ourselves.

now seeing as how we all dig doing this and it is something that we get to anticipate and plan usually months ahead of time, it would be nice to be able to either talk about upcoming festivals, carpools, suggested shows to see, meeting up, etc etc on a board that many of you have become in love with/addicted to (that was a long sentence).

anyways let me know what you guys think... i think i struck electric gold here

I see that this post is quite old now and there's still no festivals section... was this idea not popular enough?

I'd definitely use a festivals bit if we had one. I know I've only been around for a day and my opinion won't really count but I do plan to stick around.

im sure there is, you just might not know about them. here in the states i managed to goto coachella, acl, and i have vegoose and funfunfun fest coming up oct 26-28 and nov 3-4 respectively. i would have made it to lalapalooza and bonnaroo, but couldn't convince anyone to get on board for those TRIPs.

edit - i just googled this Tickets - all festivals/events

I'm getting my Big Day Out tickets today.

Bjork is coming! Which means she'll have a concert of her own too. YAY!

RATM are coming too, even Billy Bragg is going to be there.

A festival section might not be so active at this time of year but I can imagine it getting quite busy in the summer.

Frances, I am so jealous.
