Lounge Post Counts

Why? Why does it matter how much one posts in the lounge, it is for the vast majority spam?

post count is basically just gives someone a indication of how much time you put into this site. looking at it any other way is really just a prick waving contest. dont put too much or too little emphasis on it. the lounge isnt really posting anyways because your not really contributing anything music related.

I think post counts have a tendancy to basically leave 'cause for higher posters to stick up their noses to new posters, however it can 'cause people to be desperate to post more, sad...but it helps on a forum as inactive as this place can be. I wouldn't describe the lounge with as much bitterness as some of the people here but i definately understand the fact that we removed the post count for it, i love this place for it's music discussion (even if i've not been as active recently as i once was) and anything to discourage mass posting in the lounge and encourage more music debate has my vote.

I really don't think new members get nearly as much crap from old members as people continually play out they do.

Not here as much, but i think people just expect it, it's a habbit with most forums to do so therefore people assume it'll happen here. BungallowBill was a complete **** to me as soon as i got here, and in my first thread i argued 7 pages with you...
mind you these days this place is so quiet you dont see much of this online 'flaming' etc. which i prefer.
