We can clearly see who posts on a regular basis and who contributes and who doesn't.

I just mean that if regular members are permitted and the promotions forum is no more won't it just create a situation in which the general board becomes a toilet bowl for advertising threads which nobody gives a **** about?

Not really, not everyone has music projects and most of them will be moved into their respective genres.

Your probably right, when you take away the 1 post members there's probably not gonig to be a large magnetude of advertising to be done anyway. :/

As long as you're gonna stick around, it's fine by us. Our main problem is with people registering just to advertise then taking off without contributing to the forum.

There's a difference between a member who joins MB to promote a band without contributing to the forums and a member who joins MB who contributes to the forums and happens to be in a band.

It's obvious which category you fall under.
