Um, guys...it was one thread. It didn't have that much of an impact on the rest of the forum, you know, places designated for discussion instead of just sharing...

...and we still have MB's Most Wanted thread.

Truth is, the compilation thread generates more music discussion than the sharing thread ever did.
I know I show more interest in a 10 track comp with a short write up, over a rar link to a new album with no info.

my point was, Adidasss, that in a thread singing the praises of a site, we bemoan dead threads.

Grunge ain't dead.

Well my point, TheBig3KilledMyRainDog, was that I have no point and just wanted to use your username in a condescending and stand-offish manner...

rofl

maybe we should have a whole thread where we go at one anothers throat. I'm guessing that it would be well received and humerous for us all.

if only.../sigh

In a way, this forum is a much better way of sharing music than any sharing thread would ever be. I've gotten into many bands and albums that I would never have heard of without this forum, and most album's aren't hard to obtain.

Yeah, it's introduced me to alot of new music, in particular King Crimson who are quickly becoming one of my favourite artists.

I'd say the forum strikes the perfect balance between banter and real discussion.

Same... I came here listening to Sum 41, 300 songs, and I didn't even know who Elliott Smith was...

I'm not perfect, my taste isn't near as eclectic as most of yours, and I still like my pop punk, but I've definitely come a long way.

And you're still young...my music taste changed ten fold when I joined this forum 3 years ago. And now I can gladly say I have the best music taste on the planet:p
