it's a band you have to LISTEN to.. not just check out. I'm rarely in the mood for them myself, but the critisism on this thread I find a bit naive...

Im a big fan of post-rock, and although Godspeed aren't nearly one of my favourites (i find they spend far too long messing around and not going anywhere) its pretty obvious why they are one of the leading bands of the genre.

I tried getting into them, I honestly did, but I gave up - it was too much hard work. And the way they changed their exclamation mark in their band name was just horribly pretentious.
