Default Captain Beefheart passes away.

Don Van Vliet, founder of the avant garde band Captain Beefheart passed away today. For me he produced some of the craziest music i've heard but at a very high quality. Possibly the most well known Avant-garde artists, he will surely be missed.
Safe As Milk, Lick My Decals Off and of course Trout Mask Replica are all fantastic albums.

****ing legend of a man. One of the best examples of somebody who proves you never have to play by the rules. Will be missed.

Holy **** .

They don't make 'em like that any more.

Gregory Issacs, Ari Up, and now another one of my favourites gone.

It's been a horrible year. I was discussing it earlier and 6 of the artists thta died this year have an album which I gave 9 or 10 out of 10.
