I prefer Hendrix.

Both guitarists are melodic, but Hendrix had a great way of combining lead/rhythm. He has rhythmic skills that Page doesn't have.

Page covers a huge range of musical styles. Hendrix covers a few; however, he was starting to get into playing jazz guitar and other styles just before his death. Given as much time as Page has had, he probably would have covered more styles.

Page has had his various problems with ripping off other music, and I don't favour that too much.

Hendrix practically reinvented the guitarist for himself. If he got that far within his short life, who knows how far he would be if he was still alive?

Hahaha very funny... It's like how SOAD totally ripped Chop Suey of Avril Lavigne. But that witch seriously did cover that song - it was so bad.

I haven't checked it out myself, so you should google it.

But I believe it's true when I have big Led Zeppelin fans telling me about it. If those people hated Led Zep, I would have checked it out myself.

I'm sure someone can tell you about it. I would have checked it out, but Page's ripping off doesn't bother me too much. He still wrote plenty of good stuff anyway.

From memory, I think the songs (or parts of songs) that he ripped off were Stairway to Heaven, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Whole Lotta Love and a few others. I think Willie Dixon won a lawsuit against Page which involved ripping off music.

You shouldn't walk around saying crap you can't back up im not gonna look it up, Because i didnt say it. So seeing as you have no proof other then "some fanboys said so" your rip off statement means nothing.

I never said I didn't say it - it just doesn't weight on me much. Read my post - it's not hard. Why should I go and look it up when I don't really care about it that much?

Look, you didn't see it from my point of view. The fact that multiple big Led Zeppelin fans, admitted that Led Zeppelin ripped off other music, is enough evidence for me. If you know anything about fans of bands, then you'll know that they don't go around advertising how much their favourite band rips off other bands. And you'll also know that fanboys research their bands quite thoroughly.

I've been on many music forums for quite a while. And every time Jimmy Page comes up (usually in a greatest guitarist thread), his ripping off gets mentioned. And guess what, the Led Zep fans don't deny it.

And there is the lawsuit thing as well.

And what's more, it wasn't exactly rare for blues/rock bands to rip off others at the time. It's quite plausible that Jimmy Page did that.
