My fav KC is Starless and Bible Black, but Red and Larks Tongue from their classic period (Fripp, Wetton, Bruford) rank up there. Like some posters have stated, they can be difficult and pretentious, but they can also blow you away. In fact, I think they're one of the heaviest bands ever. If you don't think you can tolerate some of their experimenting, check out 3 double live albums Fripp has independently released, representing the best tunes from 3 eras of KC. First, "Night Watch" which represents the aforementioned Crimson, second, "Absent Lovers" (Belew and Levin), and finally the height of their pretension as well as loudness, the "double trio" version recorded on "Vrooom Vrooom".

Haha, I don't doubt their heaviness. There are certainly some hard hitting parts on Larks' Tongues in Aspic.

My favourite from what I've heard are Walking on Air, Epitaph and Easy Money.

I relistened to Thrak and I'm really impressed. People is one of my favorite KC tunes now. As is Dinosaur.

Dinosaur is my favourite on the album. Walking on Air is quite calming too - I learned that bassline.

I've always been into the early KC stuff but in the past few months I've slowly drifted to Tony Levin era stuff. Discipline is just amazing (though the vocals on Elephant Talk annoy me for some reason).

God, Discipline and Beat are incredible. Three Of A Perfect Pair has more funk influence than Beat and Discipline, and I love it for that!
