Why? What wrong with its religios message?

yeah but your not explaining why, and in my "big brother" attitude I know its because is deuche bag indie hipster protocol to hate religeon for being the marxist opiate that they claim, but the point is this. The music in that song is amazing, and the words are well written.

And isn't that Jesus in your avatar halfbaked? If it is, are you being hypocritical? And if its jesus doing something sacreligeous then I guess I hit the hammer on the head when i said it was hipster protocol.

I don't really give a rats ass if you like the song or not, but not liking it becuase its religious is stupid, its as closed minded as the zealots you hate.

A message to the saucony clad sloppy haired square glasses wearing populous: Don't be afraid of religion.

I love the song....I'm just not religious. Is that a problem. Just cause someone isnt religious doesnt make them afraid of it.

I don't thinik you fear religion, i think you fear how you'll be perceived if you like something religious.

People think religious people are closed-minded, prejudicial *******s, and if you step to close to pro-religion you're afraid you'll be judged like that, not in the open where you could defend it, behind your back where you are just left alone to die.

yeah it is jesus, and he's racing darth vader on an armadillo, and it was the most bizarre thing i'd ever seen, its funny to me, don't be a ****. hipster protocol? **** off. once again i was generalizing, i should stop because i see that doesnt fly here. for the most part if a song has a religious message im not keen to it. johnny cash is still amazing, but i like his soungs off the topic of religion more. why? because they're more inspired IMO. all christian music is the same damn thing. praise the lord praise the lord, i'm so happy since i found jesus. i've heard enough of that being raised in a fundmentalist christain family. and no im not saying that cas its PUNK RAWK TO HATE RELIGION! i love my family, i just disagree with damn near everything they stand for. christianity to me is just one big lie. and i dont want to hear it, through preaching, music or otherwise. i still love johnny cash and all his work, but the christian element just turns me off.

Greatest country musician of all time, after good ol Hank of course.

Id like to see George Jones do a Nine Inch Nails cover and pull it off.

I don't claim to know his entire catalouge but the songs I know that have a religious message don't say "praise the lord"
