Well, this thread has not really been about "Spanish music" but rather about "Latin music" in general. So here are some of my favorites:
Salsa - there are so many, but Adolescent's Orquesta, N'Klabe, Sonora Carruseles & Pedro Conga have so many good ones Merengue - Rikarena, Juan Luis Guerra Bachata - Aventura, Monchy y Alexandra Latin rock - Mana, Santana Reggaeton - Daddy Yankee, Ilegales Many of you mentioned Juanes. I recently wrote an article on him for the Latin music site that I edit - see the link in my signature below if you are interested. One more thought: Does anyone else think that Latin music deserves its own category in the forum?!

Anyway, I've never checked out much Latin music except for Deodato (Latin funk jazz kind of music)... and I also have some Sonora Carruseles sitting on my music drive. I did always enjoy the Latin style drumming of Martin Lopez though. |
