I don't really like Horse and I much at all, the whole melody in the background sounds like some medi recording stuff // not sure if that's how you would spell medi. Overall, the lyrics aren't that good. It's not so much different as much as it is a bunch of stuff thrown together.

It's taken me a while to get into her music; even when she was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize she just passed me by because I had so many other things to investigate at the time.

I was just listening to Sarah thanks to last.fm and I like it lots. I've had a couple of other songs coming up as well and they were both good. Didn't sound anything like each other.

Ok, I've given her latest album, Two suns, a few listens and I feel like I could get into this shit. I haven't really delved into Kate Bush much but she sort of reminds me of her...with a touch of Bjork. It's just got a Pitchfork best new music seal of approval...*hipster douche* (:

Her first album was fairly good though it hasn't had many repeat listens since it was released, i'll have to track the new one down if it's getting good press.

First album is OK. Nothing amazing but listenable. It seems as if the follow up is better then?

I saw Bat for Lashes supporting Radiohead last summer, they were pretty good at the time. I was extremely stoned when I saw them so I can't really pass reasonable judgement, however. Never listened to any of their albums.

not to be mean or anything but Bat For Lashes is more electro-pop than folk.

Fur and Gold is one of my favorite albums by a femole solo artist. Is the second worth a listen as well?
