Becuase Nick Drake came out before Paul Simon?

I just don't see the need to come into a thread and say "hey i never really like this guy because [act x] does it better." I'm not suggesting it get weeded out, but I fail to see the constructive nature of such posts.
I'm sorry, i'll only post positive opinions from now on then the board can just be one big boring lovefest, would that be better?

Twisting what I've said to the point of hyperbole is ridiculous. If you had said you didn't like the song for various reasoning, it would be a different set of circumstances, but suggesting that anything he turns out would be sub par isn't furthering any discussion on I&W.

To be fair, you did mention that you liked Woman King but otherwise the entire "you know he's ripping off Drake, right?" was just catty non-sense.

And my understanding was that Tom & Jerry came out in 1959, and Nick Drake came out some time after that, but even still, Paul Simon certainly came out before Iron & Wine, so why isn't he ripping Simon off?

And to that degree, is Simon ripping off Drake? I've never heard that argument before but if he isn't, and we're assuming he didn't make that style up, then it clearly came before the entire conglomerate of contemporary music.

Ethan posted that like 2 on page 3, it's his newest album, I don't much care for it. I'll up The Creek Drank the Cradle once I get done downloading this split.
