I'll get back to it. The motivation hasn't really been there.

Nah even if they paid the whole thing the rates just aren't sustainable without shrinking the middle class

You think that's the fault of the taxes or the budget?

Both?

The problem with capitalism is the "rich get richer". Or I should say the biggest problem

If the gov doesn't tax and spend heavily the highest earners will collect gigantic amounts of wealth that they'll just sit on

You have 1% of the population that has more wealth than something like 75% of the rest of us depending on how you slice it

Do you have, like, a number that you'd be happy with? The top bracket already has a 40% income tax rate, which is why I was wondering. I think that leveling the playing field when it comes to federal social insurance taxes would help bridge the gap.

Before Reagan there was a marginal tax rate of 90% on anything over 200k

The 40% is fine but basically there needs to be a kind of cut off I'm not exactly sure what that number should be in present day that'd take more research

But we have to make the choice between supporting billionaires and supporting the middle class they can not coexist it's a math problem

Gaslighting. My new favorite word. Used in a sentence: Nearly half of the United States just got severely gaslighted and they don't even know it yet.

The Following Actions are Associated with Gaslighting:

1. Withholding: Your partner pretends not to understand you or flat out refuses to listen to you. He or she might say things like “I don’t want to hear this again.”

2. Countering: Your partner questions your memory, even if you’re sure you know what happened. They say “You’re wrong, you never remember things correctly,” or “You’re imagining things, that never happened.”

3. Blocking/Diverting: Your partner changes the subject to silence you or questions how you’re feeling, saying things like “Is that another crazy idea you got from your (friend/family member)?”

4. Trivializing: Your partner makes your needs or feelings seem unimportant, constantly telling you that you’re too sensitive, or that “You’re going to get angry over a little thing like that?”

5. Forgetting/Denying: Your partner pretends to have forgotten what really happened, or flat out denies promises he or she made to you. He/she will say things like, “I don’t know what you’re talking about” or “You’re just making things up.”

To write a bizarro erotica book that had Kirk Cameron hooking up with a Crocoduck. I just loved the idea and I felt it was timely after the gay marriage ruling. It was definitely meant to be subversive. I knew that once Cheese Jesus had sex with Kirk I was being really naughty.
