Default Playing with programming/backing tracks

I am in a 3 piece band and we want to add some programming to our live shows but are not sure how to go about it.
Does anybody have any idea what we would use to play the programming?

Ya bleton is an excellent way to go. Of course if your playing live instruments, a good midi clock device would help keep ableton synced with the tempo you are playing.
