The story behind the picture is actually really creepy.

This guy Carl Von Kosel worked at a TB ward, and fell in love with this girl there (I think her name was Maria). Maria eventually died of tuberculosis, and her body was put in a tomb. Von Kosel was obsessed with visiting it, and eventually stole the body. He kept the body in his hose for months, replacing the flesh with wax and the eyes with glass ones as her corpse rotted. He actually SLEPT next to this wierd thing, and eventually the family of Maria found out.

The body of maria, which now appeared as my avatar was put on display in the funeral home in town after this discovery was made. Thousands came to see it, many witnesses having recurring nightmares just from viewing it. Von Kosel was found to be sane by a psychiatrist, and was only fined I believe, for removal of a body. The public was sympathetic towards him, viewing him as a hopless romantic. Marias body was eventually buried in a secret unmarked location in the cemetary.
