This mystic toy, the "amulet,"
controls the world just like an arm.
Her wand, her tongue, in Latin script.
A language of unlucky charms.

Does she command the winds and tides?
And playthings, of the world she makes?
Or is the devil by her side
Until she dies through flame and stake?
