Radiohead. Thom Yorke's first sexual encounter was with a ghetto-blaster.

Maroon 5. After their first gig, when they were still unnamed, they killed a man and bathed in his blood. Somebody saw them soon afterwards and said "who are that maroon 5" and the name stuck.

Brandon Boyd very much enjoys putting his signature on fan's chests. He wanted to call the band 'Inky busts', but the first time he suggested it he was eating a satsuma, so the rest of the band misheard it and called themselves Incubus.
