Having family all over the UK and having visited them quite alot, i can safely say its my firm opinion that anywhere but London is a crap place to live. yes, we have nice hills and lakes...a few scenic hamlets and villages..and novelty monarchs. But seriously, the UK is a ****heap at the moment. with that said, i am still very patriotic and proud of my nationality. im not ashamed of how posh i sound or how "prude" (as someone put it) i am because at the end of the day, they are two traits that historically make the English distinct. I do howwever dislike the way we are seen as America's extra state...but the sad fact is we no longer are that powerful of a country.

Do you mean the English accent sounding posh in general, or just you? I personally sound suspiciously like **** Van-**** in Mary Poppins (although I don't tend to say cor-blimey that often). This is not a joke.

EDIT: How DO you overcome swear-filters? (I don't seem to ever swear, so I've never learnt it!)

It only when I'm surrounded by Americans that I REALLY notice my own accent. Its makes me feel like singing 'knees up mother brown', maybe playing some Chas'n'Dave.

Don't complain about having an Irish accent! Most people go crazy for them (even Northern Irish ones)!

PM a mod with proof your over 18 (21 for Americans).
They will enable swear words for you mate.
I'd do it for you, but seeing as Crowquill is new, PM him...it'll give him summat to do.
