I think you can, there's some guitar parts in songs like Florida and Steam Engenius which are the definitely the sort of jangly pop style he does.

Sonic Youth + Jim O'Rourke is about as good as it gets. Maybe that's why Murray Street is such a good album.

Yeah but I much prefer Isaac Brock's style and in general Johnny Marr tends to act like a musical chameleon. I mean I can think of sometimes with like the Healers and The The. It's not a dig at him, in fact he's probably such a wanted guest studio musician because he can do most guitarists better then they can.
