Seems impossible to really find out on the internet.
Some of his fans seem to try to show him as some kind of dissident oppressed by the soviet regime, but I've also read that he apparently murdered someone.

John Zorn always struck me as pretty outgoing and energetic, at least from his performances, just ****ing stoked to be making massive music.
