black people and rock (lead singer, r'n'b, rap, reggae, Europe)

i've been meaning to make this thread for a while, i was wondering what black rock bands you know, i was reading an article on tv on the radio and the journalist rightfully noticed that it's a shame there's not many black people playing rock any more, especially in the states where most black people are into rap or r'n'b, the situation is a bit different with black people in europe, their music tastes seem more diversified ( bloc party, test icicles, although there's only one blck man in those bands ) ....are there any more? oh not to mention that i think skin is the only black woman playing rock and roll and she's european.....

uhh well i dont know of any all black rock bands but theres a few bands that have black people in them. sum 41, plain white t's, gym class heroes. theres another one somewhere i just cant think of it.

I thought the lead guitarist in Sum41 was Indian. He looks Indian...

the lead singer from bloc party is black. i don't know too many black people that are into rock. like basically all the black people i know are "ghetto". well my friend's uncle he listens to like old old stuff. like it's wierd but he's a cool guy.

La Jon has pretty cool vocals even if he's in an average band. He's black.

He is.

There is a Reggae/rock band they play here in the US but they are european.
