When I was in my band we used to routinely ruin Summer of 69 with ska breaks and stuff. The kids loved it

except i'm sure you weren't ruining it, any change to that song would be an improvement. Whoever mentioned madonna's cover of american pie is dead on, i think that has to be one of the worst covers in the history of music.

I don't think I've ever heard a bad version of Summer of '69 - even at kareoke! It is just the sort of song that gets everyone groovin along. I guess the more influenced you are by alcohol, the better it sounds.

Alien Ant Farm did a pretty bad job on "Smooth Criminal" too!!! Alien Ant Farm simply didn't make "Smooth Criminal" sound better...
...you just get to hear a worse version that was played too much!!!What a damn shame, ya know?
