Personally I do feel Em is dope M.C.
But I'm inclined to agree with the guy who said fame has gone to his head. I mean has anyone actually listened to Encore? It's bloody garbage in my opinion, 'Lose Yourself' (off the 8Mile sound track) is a classic, 'When I'm Gone'(off his greatest hits) is ok I guess, but I've heard it all before. And before anyone says anything I think the stuff he did earlier on in his career and his first two albums are legendary, and there are one or two songs on the third but on the whole after his second one he's gone down hill. And what's with him dressing like a fake gangsta these days? Velour tracksuits? Doo-Rags? wearing Platinum and Ice? He's on a newish song with this old school guy from Detroit(can't remember his name but he's wack) which Em produced and on the Hook Em's talking about Gangstas and Guns, what the ****? That's not the Em I used to feel or rate as great. In my opinion he's exposing himself into becoming just another Vannila Ice(if he does nothing about it sharpish).

but you're applying terrible logic to the quoted statement. It's called a fallacy. Saying that "this is ok/allowed/accepted so that should also be ok/allowed/accepted" is not the way to argue something. Trust me, I got a lecture in that when I turned in my rough draft for my research paper. |
