just slightly pissed off (electronic, alternative, indie, members, myspace)

i've noticed that those few high quality members we have aren't really bothering too much to spread the word about new music, or music that isn't so new but we haven't heard of it ( for example when i make a thread about a band i just came across, someone will walce in and say, yeah, they're really good...rarely though, but it still happens )....

i think that really blows, because , first of all, i really try to find music people haven't heard of, and when i accidently come across something i like i always, always! make a thread about them if one doesn't already exist....

rant over....

ive experienced the same thing. i posted a thread about my friends band "the snags" in the indie forum and it hardly got ay views as far as i know...and no replies. whenever someone posts about a new band that i havent heard of, i almost always click any link they provide that will take me somewhere that i can listen to the bands music, and i try to comment on it if i can.

I post threads about bands in the folk, indie, rap, and electronica forums, and they get no views
but post a lame ass forum game in the lounge....INSTANT SUCCESS

it's always best to post a link, a myspace link would be good, but the point of this thread isn't to bitch about how noone replies to your threads, it's to rag on the members that don't make threads about bands we haven't heard of, and i don't mean that you have to go out of your way to find some new music just so we'd respect you more, but if you're already listening to them, don't be a lazy sod and make a thread.....

I know what you guys mean, I made a thread introducing like 10 new bands to the forum and it got 4 replys dicussing two of the bands. That was only after I prompted people to post, and sometimes Ill make a thread on a band and no one will reply at all (my augustana thread for instance) it does get annoying. The few replies I get aren't ill check some of them out or there good there totally off topic, and yes it does get stupid when members rag on you i made a thread on a band called Vaux and I dont remember who but they told me it was a crappy thread.
