Matisyahu (reggae, cd, Bob Marley, myspace, quote)

Jesus, it took me 30 minutes to find this guy's name. I don't know much about him besides he is Jewish and has a band. Oh, and I want to know some songs so recommend away.

EDIT: I have now listened to some of his songs. They have a real reggae feel to them. Right now I'm listening to Chop Em' Down. It is pretty good. Also Tzama L'chol Nafshi sounds very much like something you would hear in Israel. As I listen to more I will expand on this.

Nah, I have Limewire. Is good now and I was hoping for some input on him and not a myspace plug.

except it's at work so oyu'd have to wait about a day or so but I could if you want.. he's good it's seems he's either spiritual or Christian, can't decide which but definitely VERY Bob Marley-like sound!
whoops only sort of skimmed through your thread, I for one think he's decent, took me by surprise, that's for sure.

ditto. id like to hear more.

ive only heard the one song that they play on the radio, but i like it a lot. its real fun to listen to. although...for some reason jewish+reggae...just doesnt seem like an obvious mix. anyone else have similar thoughts?

that's an understatement....i saw one video ( king without a crown i think ), it was hella fun, but i haven't listened to the album yet.
moses, you jewish by any chance ( levi sounds like a jewish name )?
