There is something or somewhere I can watch the Grammys Awards? 'cause it will not play on TV here.

yeah...theres an "academy" that votes on the nominees and the winners. personally, i hated it. it seemed like a lot of the winners were not as talented as some if not most of the other nominees for their particular award. plus i hate how its nothing but mainstream rock. not that theres anything wrong with mainstream rock, but no one else....not even those more talented are even given a chance.

Rammstein lost to Slipknot for best live metal act. Of course the Grammys are biased for only mainstream.

Wow, they picked the wrong damn people when it came to the awards.

But i would be lying if i said i didnt enjoy some of the performances....I really enjoyed the Sly & Family Stone Tribute and the new orleans tribute with Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen and The Edge.

Other than that, the best bands out today were ignored completely, Mars Volta were ignored completely...And the fact Brian Wilson's Smile didnt even get nominated for best album just shows how much the grammys sucks up to the mainstream, instead of focusing on what matters, the f*cking music.

U2 won?

I thought theirs was a terrible album, not one song was even remotely inspirational, Vertigo was good but then that went down in flames with the amount of continuous radio play it got. A terrible album alround.

Awards piss me off. You see the thousands in the audience clapping and cheering away blindly while I'll be sitting at home wanting them all to know how far off their decisions are.

Soooooo fustrating.

As much as i love U2 i have to agree, HTDAAB is the worst thing they have ever done...I think the grammys biggest problem is, they suck the same c*cks over and over again...Yeah, you guys REALLY love Mick Jagger, Paul Mccartney, Bruce Springsteen and all those dinosaurs, but that dosent mean you have to give them a award for EVERY DAMN ALBUM THEY MAKE!!!...Give a little credit for younger musicians for gods sake, i dont think Springsteen really needs another grammy, he already has a closet full.

Quote:
Bono is still baffled by the success of U2's rock anthem 'Vertigo' - because the track had no right to be a hit.
Speaking before the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the Irish rocker confessed he felt he had cheated the system at last year's event when the group claimed the Best Rock Performance prize for the song.

And, after winning the major prize, he admits he no longer makes bets on who will win what at the Grammys.

He said, "I don't know how that ('Vertigo') became a hit... To make that a hit, you need the weight of a giant corporation.

"A lot of people heard it through the (iPod) commercial... When you've got a guitar riff like that it's punk rock, they don't want to play it on the radio."

Money talks, doesn't it Bono. ****.

What a twat.

Last I checked the radio was playing loads of piss poor 'punk' rock.
And my local station may as well be called U2 station the amount of times they play them.

Just more evidence to me this guy is a major f*ckwit.

you know what, i think U2 is getting ragged on unfairly....i mean, if the grammy people say they're the best rock band in the world, who are we to disagree?
