I'm sick and tired of you putting down the US' music scene every chance you get, when along with some amazing plain old rock bands, we've got GREAT experimental bands Animal Collective, Black Dice, Black Eyes, The Books, Can't, Deerhoof, Delia & Gavin, The Fiery Furnaces, From Monument To Masses, Hella, Hypatia Lake, Japanther, Lightning Bolt, Magic People, The Mae Shi, Microphones/Mt. Eerie, My Morning Jacket, Neptune, The Paper Chase, Rapider Than Horsepower, Red Sparowes, Sunburned Hand of the Man, Telefon Tel Aviv, Thunderbirds Are Now!, TV On the Radio, USAISAMONSTER, Xiu Xiu, and a shitload more.

We have a burgeoning Noise scene, a strong Post-Rock scene,(and don't even try and give me that "It all sounds the same" bull. Since when do Do Make Say Think and Pelican sound anything like one another?), and experimenting in virtually all genres. Meanwhile, what's the UK doing other than putting out a bunch of 10-years-too-late Britpop bands, a bunch of Libertines knockoffs, and leftover 90s bands? There's nothing new going on in the UK right now, most of its new music is pure crap.

So please, do those of us on this side of the Atlantic a favor and don't try and bring us down to Britain's level.

I`ve heard at least 8 or 9 bands on that list & quite honestly none of them do anything for me.I would say there are about 2 others I like but would hardly call them a favourite. To be honest of the stuff I have heard nothing really stood out.Nothing grabbed me by the balls & demanded I listen to it.And I said myself the UK scene has been in the crapper for about the last 5 years.

I don't even understand why you're so hung up on focusing on such a small scale like that. That doesn't change the fact that the US has a great Post-Rock scene as a whole.

Which would that be?

I think Explosions in the Sky is one of my favorites, but the other ones I like (Bark Psychosis, Flying Saucer Attack) are from the UK.

Sigur Ros (Iceland) and Godspeed You! Black Emperor (Canada).

I really like Explosions In The Sky though.

Sigur Ros are nowhere near the best Post-Rock band.

Fair enough. I just don't see why you're always complaining about the US scene being stale when there are a ton of bands still out there doing exciting things (whether you like them or not, you can't deny that they're not experimenting at the very least).
