What have you checked out recently... (singer, indie, instrumental, rock)

I'm ashamed to say it took this long, but I finally got around to checking out Isis last week. Suffice to say, they immediately pushed themselves into my top five (of post-rock/metal anyway).

Isis is amazing.

Their best albums are Oceanic and Celestial. Check those out as well since you're just getting into them.

Porcupine Tree and Isis are both very very very very very good bands.
