I'd much prefered more Joy Division than New Order.
And I think had Curtis lived and Joy Division had got big in America, then the influence of Joy Division, with Curtis as a frontman, could have had a profound effect on the British music scene. It's hard to tell, but they had enough originality to become the British Velvet Underground...who knows?

New Order`s Movement album was practically going to be the 3rd Joy Division album anyway.
Nick Drake probably wouldn`t have made any more albums even if he was still alive.After Pink Moon he was sick of it & said that he`d said everything he wanted to say with those 3 albums. I wouldn`t like to have seen what Syd Barrett would have done , he didn`t die but he may as well have done. |
