Thumbs up DimeBag is a very influential guitarist

Yes jimi is one hell of a guitarist but one that is up there in his level is Joe Satriani. Dimebag by far is one of the best shredders in metal. He would beat jimi in shredding but technically jimi would win. Jimi could perform well with the pentatonic scale and he could pull of complicated note arrangements.

Default TOO many good guitarists

yes jimi was a great guitarist in his era. But dont forget about Eddie Van Halen. That guy is ****ing incredible. Those opening notes on "eruption" are a ****ing classic. Now that guy has a place in rock N roll history. Dimebag well everything about him has already been said. Killer shredder and can pull of amazing solos. Other great guitarist JOE SATRIANI, KIRK HAMMET and JEFF HANNEMAN.

Kerry king would kill that guy. Kerry has way more speed and can come up with better riffs. Kerry and Jeff would both create an assault of woop ass on anybody.

I can't believe only one person mentioned Kirk Hammett (at least I think he did since I recall him spelling it wrong. Without question he could hand and guitarist in Metal his own ass. And What publication but Mike from Staind at the top? Kirk was the first inductee into the Guitar hall of fame (Guitar the magazine) even though you could vote for any guitarist ever. Metallica is so underrated.

You can't make mindless uneducated statements. I showed they are underated by the thirteen year olds on this board because Kirk wasn't given the respect he deserved. I watched half the idiots on here say the white stripes weren't talented and that means they should have no fame. If talent equates to fame on this board then dream theater and rush should be the best reviewed bands on this board.

Kirk Hammett is better than any other guitarist in a metal band.
