I thought SRV did do a lot of covers? Maybe I'm wrong, though either way it's irrelevant to the fact I said he's an awesome guitarist.

He did do covers but almost every blues guitarist has done covers, and besides his original works are great.

Im hazard to guess his own work is more plentiful than his covers.

Is Pride & Joy original? Or Texas Floods? They are both amazing songs! And as I said his version of Little Wing (8 minute version) tops Hendrix's version. What other songs SRV would you recommend? I have a couple of others like Scuttle Buttlin', Rude Mood, Sky is Crying tho...

I like Travis Walk, It's not really that great of a song but it is something that will make you want to move.


And Rivera Paradise (Live) that is 9 minutes of blues all at once

I think his best song is Crossfire, which is sad since a 50 year old I worked with first recommended the song to me.
