Firstly, Jack White is an amazing guitarist. but not the best.

the best would have to be between jimmy page (the vilin stick was genius), jeff beck or jimmy hendrix. clapton and bellamy r class too. if it was modern guitarists id say bellamy but overall id say page!!!!!!!!!

FLOWER POWER

this question should be split into categories
1. best guitarist based on speed
2. best guitarist based on style
3. best guitarist based on overall influence

the list could go on and on, to many genres to throw them all into one category, how can you put BB King in the same categorie with Randy Rhodes for example?

check out the guitarists from cannibal corpse, try and learn Frantic Dissembowlment...wicked hard song..JUST TRY I DARE YOU
cannibal corpse does suck lol anyway, you've hit all the big names and I agree.

yngwie malmsteen for technical ability
Micheal angelo, steve vai for speed
joe satriani, eric johnson for emotion
rhodes, young for just being kickass

jimmy, hendrix and stevie ray are absolute legends of their time, but alot of guitarists can play their music with no trouble nowadays
