Because they sound similar throughout the whole song not just the intro. Even if RHCP fanboys/girls are too blind to admit at least that.

The first two verses sound similar. That's about it. It's a common chord progression anyway. Could be argued that Mary Jane's Last Dance was just a rip-off of Sweet Home Alabama.

Like Wayfarer said it has a generic chord progression, other than that the song has a similar vibe, but besides the drumming intro there's nothing else similar.

I never said it was plagiarism I just said it's ridiculous to deny they're similar which RHCP fanboys insist they aren't. Wayfarer also said the first two verses were similar not just the drum intro.

although it is probably their weakest album yet, if you look around there are about 8 or 9 songs that really stand out well.

overall ill give the album a 3.5 out of 5

look around? sorry I listen to my music....


I know where your coming from but I recommend putting it on in the background well your working or something and just let it play some of the songs really grow on you fast . It may not be there best work but overall its a pretty sweet album
