Default Music-making software

Do you know of any FREE pieces of music-making software? Or, at least, anywhere that I can download such full-version software without cost?

Get Limewire and search for Acoustica in the Programs option, it'll bring back a ****load of cracked versions that don't require a passcode or purchase.
