For a debut album after that breakup I think they did a great job of maintaining that unique Rage style on instrumentals

But another great aspect of Rage was the unique voice...

Undoubtably the most underated band is thrice. there are obviously other but thrice take the most underated medal. After they signed to a bigger record label for the album "artist in the ambulance" i feared they could be in danger of relieving themselves of the raw talent and sound that is thrice, but despite the larger budget they have not got ahead of themselves and keep their music lyrically poetic and the raw riffs still blazing.

thrice is mighty fine, but I personally feel that Thursday, while not necessarily better, is definitly more artistic in their music and lyrics. Don't get me wrong, Thrice is exceptional and I LOVE the cd, but that's just where I stand on the issue.

Dude, How can you question the talent behind dustins lyrics. Lyrically thrice are one of the best bands around. i dont particularly like thursday so maybe i am a bit bias with thrice being my fave band but i dont see how anyone can question Tepe's lead guitar and dustins lyrics, vocals and guitar himself. He is truly outstanding and so is the rest of the band.

you can't say thrice is underrated though. Sure they are not known as well as some other bands....but underrated? Do people listen to them and say they aren't good? Not from what I have heard...It's just there music is not as widely spread.

I dont think they are that underrated...But I agree 100% that they are better than Thursday. I like Thursday alot...but lyrically and vocally Dustin blows them out of the water... and the classical guitar riffs by Teippei are amazing.
