kyuss would have to be be my first choice to mention. that band had the most amazing cemistry. "whitewater" off of Welcome to sky Valley is a musical experiance.
brant bjork is going strong today and doesnt get recognized for some amazing work. "Born to Rock" just makes ya feel good.

they're not underrated whatsoever. people have been clamoring for them to reunite since QOTSA made it big.

thing is, Kyuss were told they were going to be big when they first started by record execs who thought that they had pounced onto a group whose sound could be exploited for a mass fanbase. and from an objective standpoint, they were the biggest fucking thing to fall east of Los Angeles.

I tell ya there so many different ideas of what "underrated" means on this board, its alarming... we probably need a clear definition of what "overrated" means... because any band anywhere could really be considered underrated...

I once had a friend who tried to convince me the Beatles are underrated.... hmmm....

YES. Welcome to Sky Valley is an experience in and of itself.

and btw, back to August Burns Red, I was shocked as well to see the popularity they have gained so quickly.
