I heard a band a few years back - got into 'em a little. They guy who's cd I was listening to passed away. Now, I can't remember their name, or names of any songs. I know if I could see the name, I'd remember it. They play real eerie, spooky, spacey, creepy sounding stuff (and some chick sings w/ a really high pitched voice), and I'm pretty sure their name starts with a "P".

Believe me, I know how ridiculous this sounds. I'm going to die if I can't remember this band!!!!! I searched online for a list of band names, or something like that hoping I could just look through a list of names and have something catch my eye. I can't find anything like this.

Can anybody help me?

holy hell - i was just reading through some posts and found the band. it was portishead. I've been trying to figure this out FOREVER!!! Thank you music banter posters........ You effin ROCK!
