Major Lazer's "Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do"

and I LOVE IT! I guess I was lucky because I heard it being played at Hollister or whatever and the name was on a tv. HAHA.

Recently downloaded Get Lonely by The Mountain Goats... darn fine album, very dark, very personal and its sound somewhat matches its lyrical desolation... one feels very lonely as you parse the lyrics, listen to the sometimes solitary guitar parts... and the oh so deeply personal lyrics, about a break up and its aftermath. A darn compelling and brilliant album is what ]'d call it.

Yesterday I bought two albums. Because I love them, they are my favourite

Opeth - Damnation

Riverside - Anno Domini High Definition

Love that Opeth album... my favourite one by them is 'Still Life'

I've always been interested in Riverside but haven't heard any of their stuff. I'll definitely need to check 'em out.

I've got a few Riverside albums and I think the best one to start off with is either Out of Myself or Rapid Eye Movement. Neither of them are particularly "hard" but it's still pretty decent progressive metal if you're driving with grandma.

Ken Andrews -Secret of the Lost Satellite

Solo album from the former Failure frontman and I have to say I am really enjoying it. I love Failure, I love Autolux, and now I'm really starting to enjoy Ken Andrew's solo work, now I just need to find out what the former bassist of the band has been up to to complete my collection.

Besnard Lakes - Are the Dark Horse

Sort of a post-rock/shoegaze/indie band out of Canada that I've heard good things about.

Hum - Downward is Heaven

Sort of a fuzzy space rock band with some indie influence, great album.

Free Kitten - Sentimental Education

Collaboration album from Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Julia Cafritz of Pussy Galore... could be interesting.
