There are a few shades of their future direction on the album, but I reckon it's the Missing remix you're thinking of there. Can't remember who did the mix (his name's Todd somethingorother, I recall that much), but it's one of the best remixes I've ever heard, and it's hearing the result of it that encouraged the group to properly go down the avenue they did.

It'd be awesome if they did a new album. They've officially been on hiatus for about a decade now, which probably means they've packed it in altogether, but I can still hope!

Local Natives - Gorilla Manor

I'm already liking this on the first listen. There seems to be a lot going on here and it will certainly reveal itself more with a few listens. They sound like a rockier Fleet Foxes and there's some great vocal hooks and guitar melodies here.

Blood Red Shoes - Fire Like This

They first came to my attention a couple of years ago but i never got the chance to check them out until now. This is their new album and it's packed with scuzzy, distorted, anthemic guitar pop with a nice mix of male and female vocals. Awesome stuff

Looks like the Album of the Year leaked a bit earlier than expected. And yes, it's really really really fucking good.
Ditto. It's really good so far.

Todd Terry mixed 'Missing' as a bonus track and it was that track that inspired Ben Watt to branch out. The album has barely no electronic work at all. It's still bloody great though.

It's funny because after hearing Missing I seriously thought Everything but The Girl was this full on electronic act with only electronic / club oriented music... how much that one track misled my good self...

umm Yeah, I'm gonna need you to resize that to something that wouldn't get harmfully stuck in a blue whale's anus.

Edit: Done

In the process of getting the entire Current 93 and Nurse With Wound discographies (or at least everything I can find).

It's gonna be pretty epic.

Oh, and I just got ZZ Top's Tres Hombres and Kansas's Leftoverture on LP for $0.30 each, which I was rather pleased with.

The mighty mighty Fall's new album Our Future, Your Clutter. Can't post any artwork, as it's due out officially on April 26th. I'm just that sneaky

Can't wait to give this one a spin.
