I prefer Goo to Daydream Nation. Dirty is the best starting point since it's one of their most accessible...but how can you not like Goo if you like the other 2? They like...go together.

Anyways, it's hard to say where to go next since you have pretty much proven one man's gold can be another's trash. With Sonic Youth's music, you really just gotta listen to each album and see if you like it. Other people's opinions really have no bearing with these guys.

I got that album last yearn and have given it a few really good listens. It was one of the better metal albums of 2009.

I've always enjoyed James Murphy's work ever since I heard "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House" on my SSX on Tour soundtrack. Murphy continues his tradition of serious nonchalance on tracks like "Pow Pow" and "You Wanted a Hit", and while This Is Happening isn't quite as good as Sound of Silver, it's still a thoroughly enjoyable album.

How is this? Highly Refined Pirates is my favorite personally, and it's great. But I feel each album that comes out is duller than the last. So I don't have high expectations here.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

A House - I Am The Greatest
A really cool late 80's/early 90's indie band. I'm loving this album so far.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#∞
A lot of post-rock fails to grab/hold my attention but this is pretty awesome. Some great late-night listening.
