Last album I bought was long time ago.
It was Pink floyd - the wall.
I bought it over 7 years ago.
I guess it's because I don't buy CDs any more these days , it's all online now.

Dachau Blues freaks me out. That is my only real impression of the album, as I generally start wanting to listen to something else at that point, and I like Beefheart's other stuff plenty.

How did you like it? I thought it was pretty uplifting, even if it doesn't really push any boundaries.

Don't be discouraged by the first listen, I thought it was a jumbled mess when I first heard it. Now I love it.
Whatever you do, do NOT take it too seriously. The album is ****ing goofy and that is more or less the point. (At least, that's what I've taken from it)

It's silly at times, but I'd say it has a lot of artistic merit nonetheless. I'd say it's an album where you have to be polarizing; notice that it's fun, but also notice that there are serious intricacies to its craft as well.

I used to hate this album so much...
I don't know what happened.

I actually really did enjoy it, I am a sucker for female vocalists, and this band had a really nice balance of screaming/singing in the vocals, I was really quite pleased.
