Butter 08 - S/T

OK, how the fuck do I even begin to explain what this album sounds like.

Hmm

Give me a minute

.......

OK, I've got it..

Imagine if the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion changed their name to The Jon Spencer Funk Explosion and changed their music to compensate the name change, then after that they phoned up Shonen Knife & said 'Hey how do you fancy collaborating on the most fucked up album either of us will ever make in our careers'.

That's just a slight description of how this album sounds.

...and you will know us by the trail of dead's entire discography.

Only 1 album is really good, the others are a bit meh.
Maybe they'll grow on me.

Kvelertak-Kvelertak
This really interesting Hardcore/Crust Punk album with a Black Metal influence. One of the best albums of the year and probably the most unique. Beautiful artwork too.

Interesting; I'll wishlist that and listen to it sometime. Black metal (even just as an influence) in 2010 seems pretty good so far.

Is that artwork done by that guy from Baroness because it looks like his work?

Sounds like I'll have to check this album out.
