It doesn't blow me away, but they have a great sound on this album. I love the combination of noise and acoustic guitar.

It also doesn't hurt that I've been digging some instrumental tracks lately, which is basically what this one is:

Teebs - Ardour
Playing this now. It's not bad but a bit underwhelming, and nothing I haven't really heard before. Good background music I guess.

Tame Impala - Innerspeaker

Ty Segall - Melted

Madlib - Medicine Show: No. 10 - Black Soul

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

how are you liking it? i've found that his original stuff is usually better than his compilations but this one wasn't too shabby.

still can't hold a candle to Flight to Brazil though...

I didn't either on my first few listens but after my fourth I hit some kind of Nirvana and suddenly all the praise and hype just made sense. It is definitely not an album for everyone, but some of the acoustic pieces are pretty easy on the ears and the lyrics are fun to read and dissect, especially "Oh, Comely".

An excellent jangly post-punk record. Full of great songs and passionate, melodic pop hooks. Brilliant band, must check out their other albums.

Stereolab - Dots and Loops
I've been meaning to try these guys for a while, so i decided to download this album and give it a go. Listening to it now at the moment, it's a really nice bright, chilled-out mixture of indie and electronica, with electronic beats, synths and guitars blended together so effortlessly. Some really nice skewed female vocal melodies as well. Great stuff.

You get Urban's Seal of Approval for this post
