The Nihilist Spasm Band - No Record

Think this one's going to take a few listens.

I dunno what your smokin' brotha', but I think Beam knocked this one out of the park. The prominence of saxophone is especially awesome from my point of view, as I'm a big fan of a lot of that late 70's/early 80's FM pop-rock sound.

Oh, and I think it takes a lot of courage to incorporate potentially unpopular influences in your music despite a generally close-minded fanbase. Kudos to Iron & Wine!

I'm not saying it's bad, actually it is a great album, I just really loved his old lo-fi acoustic guitar style and it's hard for me to let it go.

Even if some of it sounds like it would be on the Cosby Show (especially the intro to Big Burned Hand).

Alegranza - El Guincho
this is definitely the most fun Spanish electro-tropicali-indiepop album I've heard all year.

A lot of Doo Wop. I'm scouring blogspots for random collections. It's a lot easier this way.

Talib Kweli's Gutter Rainbow

I'm halfway through it and nothing really stands out to me so far on it.
