Here We Go Magic - Pigeons

I'm a big fan of the s/t album and its focus on bedroom-recorded ambient, textured loops. So when I heard that Temple had enlisted a full band for the follow up I was a little dubious. I needn't have been, it's just as good as its predecessor, with a greater leaning towards krautrock, 80's Indie and folktronica. Really imaginative, fun album, and I respect the progression he's made.

Megadeth - Rust In Peace
Haven't heard the whole thing yet. I don't know how I could claim to like metal when I haven't heard all of Rust In Peace. This is just pretty damn essential.

I'm on this. Sounds like my sort of thing.

A simple yet very attractive acoustic/rock album with solid tunes and great songwriting. Unfortunately the male vocalist does sound a lot like Matt Bellamy from Muse at times (and I don't like Muse apart from the debut) but it has a neo folk approach at times along with some decent atmospherics.

Well worth a listen whether you like Indie, Rock, Folk etc

Ryan Adams - Ashes & Fire (2011)
Those of you wishing for a return to the captivating sounds of Heartbreaker and Gold will be pleasantly surprised. Ryan Adams does what he does best here, simple and beautiful alt-country ballads with a sense of sadness to them. It might not be as good as the likes of Gold as regards songwriting but it's a great album to listen to.

Just bought these back catalogue titles on ebay for £12.

First is Mos Def : New Danger and the debut from Dizzee is stellar even though he sold out. Essential Grime.
