This arrived today:

God it's good. I'm not sure what they did but both Tool Box and Road Map sound so, so much better than the CD version. I usually prefer the vinyl, but in this case the difference is so much bigger than it normally is. I wonder whether they took the time to master everything again. It's epic.

Anyway, I bought it along with a friend so I made an unboxing video so he could see what he's waiting for (his box is also at my place so it will take some time before he'll receive his copy). It's in Dutch, but you'll get the point:

(the bit with the cat; The guy on the couch was actually sending a message to his soon-to-be-boss and he didn't want to **** up... nice timing )

Widespread Panic - 'Ball'

I actually downloaded an edited discography (didn't bother with the apparently rubbish records) and this is my favourite so far.

Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma
Oh lawd this is awesome. I honestly do think that this album will be shown in the same vein as Mezzanine and Music has the right to Children and the Richard D. James Album. Just give it 5-10 years it'll click for most.

I thought for sure that this one would be a grower - but I'm loving it immensely on first listen. Opening track featuring Karen O, "Pinkie's Dream" is fantastic. I may nominate it as one of the best tracks of the year. Very positive impressions of the album thus far. Pop on some headphones, and put this on - quite a wondrous experience.

Went on a bit of a shopping spree today...

Beach House - 'Teen Dream'

Fleet Foxes - 'Fleet Foxes'

Sufjan Stevens - 'The Age of Adz'

The Fall - 'Ersatz GB'

Burial - 'Untrue'

Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band - 'Safe as Milk'

The Flaming Lips - 'The Soft Bulletin'

Raekwon - 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx'

P J Harvey - 'Rid of Me'

Calexico - 'The Black Light'

£80 is a bit depressing, but HMV seems hell bent on charging you more for good stuff.
