Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
Really looking forward to listening to this. I've just gotten into black metal and really like what I'm hearing from the likes of Darkthrone, Burzum and Mayhem.


Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss
This is phenomenal. I love the cross between black metal and dark ambient music on here with some pretty dark lyricism.


Burial - Untrue
Some pretty chill lo-fi downtempo music. It brings up images of the dark underbelly of a city and what not. I'm really digging this.

This tends to split opinion. Some Black Metal fans love it, others think it's awful, at least from my personal experience. I personally subscribe to the opinion of the former, it's a great album.

I think so too. That was one of the first Black Metal albums I'd heard and really got me into it.

I haven't been in here for awhile, so here's a few things I've gotten in the last few weeks.

Lindi Ortega - Little Red Boots (2011)

Caught her music video for "Little Lie" the other night while I was flipping channels and thought it was catchy. Apparently she's classified as "pop-country" but I definitely see her being more on the alt-country side. Anyway, not bad at all. I like it when Canadian's make good country music.

Heard a snippet of this song in passing earlier in the week and had to do hours of research to track it down and I've finally found it. Huzzah! I'm really looking forward to listening to the rest of the album.
